Being in the moment

Our modern life is very busy, we are constantly doing things, checking the internet, on social media, and the list goes on. It is good for us to give our mind a break from all the busyness to take time to just be in the moment. To help you do this it can be helpful to focus on what you are sensing. Look around you, take a minute to note of everything you can see around you. Then take time to listen, noting all the sounds. Take a deep breath, what can you smell. What can you feel, is it hot, cold, windy, are there any other sensations?

Taking the time to notice all these things is a break in itself but will also help you to build your observation skills as we tend to look past many of the things around us.
